World Leading Hard disk drive Manufacturer Western Digital has announced the new 2 TB, next generation ‘My Passport’ line of portable hard drives. The new external drives will feature USB 3.0 connectivity and USB 2.0 compatibility. Which will be Available in five colours black, white, red, silver and blue, beginning from 500 GB, the new My Passport portable drives offer WD SmartWare automatic backup software and WD Security for password protection and hardware encryption.

it also includes dual FireWire 800 ports that can be connected to Mac computers Connecting through FireWire will increase transfer speeds, but the interface has largely been supplanted by USB and Thunderbolt.
