If  you are on Facebook  it is possible that you would be a part of many groups, you could have felt the need of sending a file to other members within the same group and you had to go to your mail client and send it. The wait is over! Facebook introduces its file sharing feature for groups which allows uploads up to 25mb and you can upload many kind of  data file except .exe and music file.  Users will also have the option of reporting malicious file types which is quite standard.

The “Upload File” option will appear when users attempt to post content to the group. it will available for a few groups for now, and is expected to be rolled out for across the social network soon. In October 2010, Facebook bought a popular file sharing service, drop.io, so we can assume that is how this new feature has  been added. If your group hasn’t received the cool new feature yet here is what the new feature looks like.
