Firefox has released a new beta browser for Android Phones. It works with devices running Android 2.1 Eclair and higher and promises a faster start-up and quicker page load time. With this mobile web browser Firefox has also enabled secure Google searches using HTTPS. The browser sports a revamped user interface called the Awesome Screen with the start page loading with Top Sites by default. Even tough Flash doesn’t work with Tegra 2 devices that run on Gingerbread and the new version does not offer support to tablets which means currently its only for smartphones. Presently in the testing stage it offers Flash support and a lot of plugins. Apart from a new panning zooming architecture for better touch-based response it also lets you increase font size to read text better. You can also access bookmarks, and browser history with more ease via theAwesome Bar.
