Apple Announces iTunes Store for East Asian Countries
Apple Inc has announced that its going to launch the Apple iTunes Store in 12 new Asian countries which include Hong Kong, Brunei, Macau, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore, Laos and Malaysia. Consumers will have an option to choose their favorite from over 20 million songs available to purchase and download via iTunes.

The Store will include music by local artists like Girls Generation, Jay Chou, and Andy Lau, international artists including, The Beatles, Adele and Jason Mraz, and world-famous classical artists such as Lang Lang, Yo Yo Ma and Yuja Wang. The company issued the press release yesterday morning. The App Store in Singapore, Hong Kong and ten other additional countries will feature a huge collection of local and international music from major as well as single record labels.
